High Cloud supported the Greek Community

On Saturday May 17th, High Cloud supported the Greek Community at Saint Sophia's Cathedral to celebrate the traditions, culture and amazing cuisine of Greece.

The event was composed of a tour of the Cathedral, a live band and Greek dance, hand-made artisans and wonderful people. Thanks to Anna Maria Angeliak's from Athens Grill (http://www.athensgrill.com/) who treated us to taste an exquisite Greek Olive Oil. Also, special thanks to Konstatinos who introduced us to a wealth of Greek cheeses and treats.

The High Cloud Team was also able to raise awareness about High Cloud's Mission to eradicate global and child poverty by participating in several running events including the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, the 10K at Belle Haven Park and by giving a brief but inspiring speech at the Stop the Silence 10K run on April 12th. The High Cloud Running Team participates in several events to spread social understanding and to save millions of children living under extreme conditions. Let's keep on making a difference in this world! Let's keep on being an inspiration to others!

The High Cloud Foundation attended the "Women, Faith and Development to End Global Poverty" Summit at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.

The High Cloud Foundation attended the Summit to End Global Poverty in Washington D.C. where the Co-Chairs were some of the most influential people in the areas of International Relations and poverty alleviation such as Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan and the Honorable Madeleine Albright. High Cloud had the distinct honor to meet Secretary Albright at the Summit and to share with her the humanitarian missions that High Cloud is currently conducting throughout seven different countries.

High Cloud Leads a Humanitarian Mission in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!

The High Cloud Brazilian Team conducted a wonderful philanthropic trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in April 2008 to help the 100 children, orphans and babies of "Roupa Suja" one of the poorest neighborhoods in South America. As we know, the High Cloud Foundation conducts a number of workshops internationally on such topics as education (math, science, language, etc), health care, sports, environment conservation and multiple others. For the children of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the High Cloud Team created a workshop on nutrition and health care. Countless hours of work, commitment and passion enabled the High Cloud Team to reach children and orphans of all ages as well as the community of Roupa Suja. High Cloud also coordinated the shipment of food supplies such as: oatmeal, dry milk, rice, beans, pasta, fruits, vegetables, among other nutritional foods.

The High Cloud Team also brought the children school supplies such as: notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, among others as well as educational videos. The opportunity to travel while conducting philanthropic activities and work on projects with different cultures is simply priceless. There is nothing like it, especially if you have a passion for empowering others and meeting people from all over the world. When we do this we are living our dream.
